2025 MINI Electric Vehicle Spotted with Potential 250 Horsepower

The electric MINI Cooper JCW has been spotted, showcasing a more aggressive front bumper and a distinct rear end. MINI is fully embracing an electric future, extending to their performance-oriented John Cooper Works sub-brand.

Compared to the Cooper SE, the JCW variant presents a slightly more aggressive appearance, highlighted by a new front bumper with a sportier intake featuring a split design and a horizontal bar. Moving towards the back, the car showcases chunky side skirts, flush-mounted door handles, a sloping roof, and turning fork style wheels with a two-tone design.

In the electric era, exhaust tips are no longer used to differentiate high-performance models. MINI has addressed this by opting for a more aggressive rear bumper and a lightly revised diffuser with vertical accents. Additionally, the car features a revised spoiler and taller reflectors.

Although spy photographers were unable to capture the interior, MINI recently unveiled the cabin of the standard model. The interior boasts a minimalist design, with a dominant circular display measuring 9.4 inches (240 mm) in diameter. Operating on the Android-based MINI Operating System 9, this display combines the functionalities of a digital instrument cluster and an infotainment system. It also offers extensive customization options and introduces a new voice assistant that can be represented by a dog avatar.

MINI has already confirmed that the Cooper E will be equipped with a 40.7 kWh battery pack and an electric motor producing 181 hp (135 kW / 184 PS). The Cooper SE will surpass these figures with a larger 54.2 kWh battery and a more powerful motor generating 215 hp (160 kW / 218 PS). While details about the upcoming JCW variant have been kept under wraps, reports suggest it will utilize the Cooper SE's battery pack and feature an upgraded motor producing around 247 hp (184 kW / 250 PS).
