Rivian R1T Inventory Shop: Faster Delivery

Rivian has launched its online inventory shop, allowing customers to order a pre-made R1T and receive it within one week. In an email to customers, the California-based electric car manufacturer announced that there are now two ways to get behind the wheel of the award-winning R1T. Customers can either make a reservation and customize their own configuration or choose from the available R1T inventory that can be delivered in just 1-6 weeks.

Previously, some customers received invitations to access the online inventory shop and order an R1T that can be delivered much faster than a custom build. According to Rivian's website, most pickups in the inventory can be delivered within one to six weeks, while a custom order typically takes four months or less.

What's more, the ready-made R1Ts have the same prices as personalized builds. This means that customers who want to get behind the wheel of a new R1T sooner can visit Rivian's website, enter their zip code, and see what pre-made EVs are available for them.

Rivian has already added several R1Ts with the dual-motor and Large Pack battery combo to its inventory. Over 100 different vehicles are ready for delivery from the company's service center in Franklin, Tennessee. A quick browse on the available configurations page for the New York zip code reveals over 35 electric pickups in stock, including dual-motor, Performance dual-motor, and quad-motor models. However, the preconfigured cars do not yet include the Max Pack battery option.

The dual-motor R1T with the Large Pack battery and 21-inch road wheels can travel up to 352 miles on a full charge. When equipped with 22-inch road wheels, the EPA-estimated range decreases to 341 miles. Additionally, the optional 20-inch all-terrain wheels lower the range figure to 307 miles. On the other hand, the Max Battery pack, available with either the dual-motor or Performance dual-motor setup, allows for a maximum driving range of 400 miles when paired with 21-inch road wheels.
