The all-new Skoda Kodiaq is set to arrive later in 2023, and the Czech brand has released images of its redesigned interior and new features. The interior of the Kodiaq has a striking new look, with a relocated gear selector that creates more space for a spacious center console. It also features a large 13-inch infotainment screen with Skoda's new Smart Dials, which combine physical dials and digital controls for versatile functionality.
The upcoming second-generation Skoda Kodiaq will be slightly larger than its predecessor and will offer a larger 910-litre boot. The design of the new Kodiaq takes an evolutionary approach, incorporating existing design cues from the Skoda range and elements of the brand's upcoming electric vehicles. The powertrain options for the new Kodiaq will include a plug-in hybrid variant in 2024, along with mild-hybrid, diesel, and petrol models.
The interior of the new Kodiaq features a large, chunky dashboard and a more angular design. Skoda has focused on using sustainable materials, including 100% recycled polyester and eco leather. The Smart Dials feature allows users to toggle through and adjust various settings with physical knobs and digital displays. The new Kodiaq will also come equipped with a range of safety features and convenient amenities, such as wireless smartphone charging and USB-C ports.
Skoda plans to fully reveal the new Kodiaq in autumn 2023, alongside the all-new Skoda Superb. While the starting price of the next-generation Kodiaq is expected to be higher than the outgoing model, Skoda aims to provide good value for money. Recently, a prototype of the Kodiaq was tested, and it showed similarities to the outgoing model in terms of driving experience. The upcoming Kodiaq will offer a range of powertrain options, including a plug-in hybrid and front-wheel drive models.
