Travis Perkins selects Zenith for fleet management
【Summary】Travis Perkins has awarded a five-year fleet management deal to Zenith, involving the transfer of over 3,000 assets including vehicles and forklifts. Zenith's ability to provide overnight servicing and its nationwide operational footprint were key factors in the decision. The partnership will also contribute to Travis Perkins' goal of reducing its fleet's carbon emissions by 80% by 2030. Zenith's expertise in call handling was another factor, allowing branch colleagues to focus on customers.
Travis Perkins, a builders' merchant, has entered into a five-year fleet management agreement with Zenith. This partnership will involve a complete transfer from the current provider and will cover service, maintenance, and repair for over 3,000 assets. These assets include heavy goods vehicles, LCVs, cars, Moffett truck-mounted forklifts, and trailers.
Zenith will replace the current fleet management provider, and a phased transfer is scheduled to begin in December, with a full switch expected by the end of January 2024.
The decision to choose Zenith came after a competitive tender process, where Zenith stood out for its comprehensive fleet management services. One of the key advantages of Zenith's services is the ability to provide more overnight servicing, reducing downtime and improving vehicle availability and efficiency by up to 30%.
In addition, Zenith's servicing network aligns closely with Travis Perkins' nationwide operational footprint, which will contribute to fuel savings and a reduction in carbon emissions. This is in line with Travis Perkins' commitment to reducing the carbon emissions of its fleet by 80% by 2030.
Travis Perkins also selected Zenith for its expertise in call handling. Zenith's strong resources, large-scale teams, and technical expertise of front-line support staff will free up valuable time for branch colleagues to focus on serving customers.
Richard Byrne, HSE and fleet director of Travis Perkins, expressed excitement about the partnership with Zenith, stating that they believe Zenith will provide excellent service to their branches and share their values of customer service, efficiency, and sustainability.
Martin Jenkins, CEO of Zenith's Commercial Division, emphasized their extensive experience in fleet management solutions and their commitment to helping businesses achieve their objectives. He expressed confidence that Zenith's technology-led solutions will minimize vehicle downtime, boost vehicle availability, and ensure Travis Perkins maximizes its investment in its large commercial fleet.
